Allowances, limits and what happens over them

What plan allowances cover, what actually happens when you reach one, and why your data never stops being collected.

Last updated 18 July 2026

Plans set allowances for the things that scale: how many domains you track, how many test emails are scored for you each month, and how many AI content assessments you can run. What each plan includes is on the pricing page; this doc is about what happens at the edges.

Reaching a limit doesn't stop the measuring

This is the part worth understanding, because it's unusual: going over an allowance never turns the sensor off.

Emails that arrive past your monthly allowance are still received, still parsed, still scored server-side. What changes is what you see: over-limit emails appear in your list with their scores blurred and locked, alongside the note that upgrading reveals them. The moment you upgrade, everything already measured is simply shown. Nothing was discarded while you waited, and there is no gap in your history afterwards.

The same principle applies to monitoring: your domains and paths keep being re-checked on your plan's cycle regardless of allowance state.

We built it this way because a gate that discards data punishes you twice: you pay to upgrade and you've still lost the record of the weeks before. Withholding the reveal rather than the measurement means the decision to upgrade is never urgent in a data-losing way, just in a wanting-to-know way.

Where to see your usage

The limits page, reachable from the dashboard at any time, shows each allowance with used versus included, and the upgrade path (monthly or annual). When you hit a gate, the same page recommends the plan sized to your measured usage rather than a generic pitch.

AI allowances

The AI content assessment is metered per plan and spent only when you trigger it on an email; it never runs by itself. Generated fix instructions are cached once created, so re-opening a fix doesn't spend anything.
